If you volunteered for camp in June 2023 and submitted all of the required documents, you do not need to resubmit.

If you did not volunteer for camp in June 2023, the following documents must be provided to PA Vent Camp via the upload link below no later than the listed deadlines:

• ​​September 1: Photo for on-site badge - provide a current and clear headshot to be included on your staff badge
• September 1: Criminal History Report from PA State Police OR FBI Fingerprint Check
• September 1: Volunteer Affidavit

Volunteer Background Clearance Information

Having fun is important, but safety is and always will be the number one priority of PA Vent Camp.

All PA Camp Vent Camp volunteers 18 years of age and older are required to complete clearances listed below. ​Volunteers under the age of 18 do NOT need to obtain criminal background check clearances.

Headshot for on-site ID Badge ​Submit by September 1 or upon registering	​ALL volunteers attending camp in-person. This includes those under the age of 18.	Choose a clear photo in which your face is easily recognizable. Crop out any extra people in the photo if necessary.	Submit via upload link.
​Criminal History Report from PA State Police Complete by September 1	ALL volunteers 18 years of age and older.	Within a few days of completing the camp registration form, PA Vent Camp's background provider - Veritable Screening - will email you a background questionnaire to complete. Complete this questionnaire as soon as possible to initiate your background check. THIS MUST BE DONE WITHIN 14 DAYS OF RECEIVING THE EMAIL. You will receive a reminder every day until you complete the questionnaire (or the link expires). Questions? Contact Veritable Screening at 310-356-7001 or email at support@veritablescreening.com.	Nothing to submit. PA Vent Camp will have access to your clearance through Veritable Screening.
​Volunteer Affidavit Submit by September 1	​​Volunteers who have resided in PA for 10 consecutive years.	​Complete this affidavit and have it witnessed.	Submit signed affidavit via upload link. (PDF preferred)
FBI Fingerprint Check Submit by September 1	In-person volunteers who currently reside outside of PA (or have NOT resided in PA for 10 consecutive years) must have a finger print check completed within the last 5 years.	If currently residing in or near Pennsylvania, click here for information on how to obtain an FBI Fingerprint Check.   If you do not live near Pennsylvania, you will need to identify how you can obtain an FBI fingerprint check in your area. This can be performed by FBI approved channelers. One of the largest available servicers can be found here. A full list of FBI approved channelers can be found here. The cost is approximately $50.00	​​Submit fingerprint results via upload link. (PDF preferred)
