Volunteer Background Clearance Information...
Having fun is important, but safety is and always will be the number one priority of PA Vent Camp.
All PA Camp Vent volunteers 18 years of age and older who have direct contact with children because they provide care, supervision, guidance or control of children, or have routine interaction with children, are required to complete clearances listed below. Volunteers under the age of 18 do NOT need to obtain child abuse or criminal background check clearance.
On the registration form, you will be asked to provide dates of completion for each clearance. Please keep a personal record of your clearance.

- Child Abuse History Clearance from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (after 01/01/2017)
- Report of criminal history from the Pennsylvania State Police (after 01/01/2017).
- Volunteers who have been a continuous resident of Pennsylvania for the past 10 years must swear/affirm that they are not disqualified from service based upon a conviction of an offense under #6344. Such volunteers will not be required to obtain FBI Clearance
- If volunteers do not satisfy the 10-year residency exemption, they must receive clearance through the FBI fingerprint check.
- Training on recognizing and reporting child abuse
On the registration form, you will be asked to provide dates of completion for each clearance. Please keep a personal record of your clearance.
